The Seven Sisters of Success

I recently had a chance to interview several groups of extremely successful people. A handful are famous athletes, several are nationally known artists, writers or politicians, and all are multi-millionaires. I asked them for the keys, or essential factors that allowed them to accomplish so much more than the rest of us. Their answers included a wide variety of specifics, but to an astonishing degree, 7 items came up in every discussion. I've called them the "Seven Sisters of Success", and want ...

The Separation of Church and State Agenda

Most discussions opposing the role of Christianity in the United States arise from an abyss of ignorance so deep as to be unfathomable. You can endlessly drop boulders into this chasm of intellectual darkness without ever hearing one hit bottom Speaking with certitude, people insist our Constitution established a separation of church and state. Clueless, they don't realize their claim, and their obvious self-satisfaction with stating it, simply proves they've never read the Constitution and ...

Car Donation and Vintage Cars

My experience with charities recently is what I must call beyond excellent. I like to buy older cars, put them back in order, show them, and then sell them. I have quite a number of striking, vintage cars which I would be happy to give to charity. I did not just want to donate them for them to be driven daily; rather an auction was my desire for these veteran belles. I have spoken with Goodwill Industries and the American Red Cross in the Washington D.C. area and they have excellent hearts for ...

Faith and Religion Are Not Contradictory as Some Think

This promises to be one of the most controversial articles I wrote; not because of the contents, but just because religious issues always are. Few months ago, it was two hundred years ago that Darwin was born. Fifty years later he presented his theory on the origin of species through evolution. I cannot claim to be an expert on his theory, but I understand its general premise and the evidence supporting its main concepts. The concept of evolution has gone beyond biology to inspire a set of ...

Terrorists Come From Every Religion

Acts of terrorism are not confined to Muslims alone. Terrorists come from every religion. But the media often uses the term Islamic terrorists or Islamic terrorism, implying terrorism is associated with Islam. It is our duty as American Muslims to present the true picture of Islam, which is that Islam does not teach terrorism under any circumstances. It forbids killing of innocent civilians. The loved based emotions include compassion, forgiveness, caring, kindness, and unconditional love, which is true love ...

My Experience with a Charity Car Donation Event

Recently, Washington DC has benefited from quite a large number of people who have become involved in auto donations. Iwas unaware of this until I had my own run down car to deal with. Not knowing the best way to dispose of it, I fell to looking at the usual possibilities. Trade-ins didn t provide a good alternative because it doesn t pay ...

Dating Someone with Another Faith Background

You're dating and your religious beliefs are different. How much difference does this make? The answer is: Another person's religious beliefs are important to you to the degree they're important to you. This may sound like begging the question, but it's an important thing to 'get'. Assuming you're looking for marriage, you need to make a 'must have' and 'can't stand' list. If certain religious beliefs go into either group, pay attention to them, because you won't be happy if they aren't there ...

About Man-Made Religion

Could it have been God who inspired this drunken stupor called "religion?" No, God would not encourage men toward something that makes them to forget Him. Such is the madness of religion in general, that it drives its adherents to call darkness "light" and misguidedness "progress." It is a good thing if we want to know the truth. However, discovering truth is only useful to whatever degree that it leads us toward knowing, honoring and obeying God. Therefore, if we genuinely desire the ...

The first to think about it and to obtain enough success was the Canadian entrepreneur Peter Gatien, better known as the king of night clubs in New York. After a few years he replicated in London where the "Limelight" found its location in a 1754 former Presbyterian church in Shaftesbury Avenue. This left many people in rural Thailand villages without any health care. When you have an earache, you can go to the doctor. When the people of ...
